Alright look, my parents used to watch the TV show M.A.S.H and then call each other afterwards. They were making a long distance relationship work and apparently that’s what time the phone rates went down. Anyway, long story short I ended up with the name BJ after Mike Ferrel’s character BJ Honeycutt. Of course those were my initials but that’s what I was called growing up. Which was fine… until of course I got old enough to realize that BJ happened to stand for something else as well. Needless to say I wasn’t real thrilled with my parent’s choice of name for me. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t grow up hating them or life, I mean hey, I could have been named Klinger right? Anyway the point is, I always wondered how the hell my parents figured naming their son BJ would be a good idea. After coming across a few of these names in the phone book, I started to realize a lot of people had parents a lot dumber than mine. With that in mind, I began scouring the web for funny and/or unfortunate names. I do most of my searching on AnyWho.com but really, any phone book or white pages will do.
